7. Thornton Hibs JFC 2016/2017

In a season that saw Hibs pipped to the League title by Kirriemuir Thistle on goal difference but still earned a place in the Premier League, a number of milestones were passed:
 
1. Garry Thomson netted Thornton Hibs' 4000th league goal
2. Craig Gilbert recorded his 100th league win as Hibs' manager
3. Ian Hepburn passed 250 competitive appearances for Thornton Hibs
4. Hibs scored 100 league goals in a season for the first time since 1968/69.
5. Garry Thomson has now netted 103 times for Thornton Hibs in 198 appearances.
 
It was a case of so near, yet so far as an unbeaten run of 19 matches in the run-in to the end of the season contained just one draw too many.
