Ali first got involved with Thornton Hibs when coaching the youth side in 2009. He already had an active website up and running for the youth side and when he heard from John Laing that Alan Winton was stepping down from being webmaster, he volunteered to get it back up and running with a new web host. A few sleepless nights later, all information was successfully transferred over and he has been webmaster ever since with assistance from John Laing.

He has also taken care of the Twitter/X account since August 2013 and been responsible for the production of match programmes, including the award of the Non-League Programme of the Year in 2016/17 for Thornton Hibs.

Ali can be seen on match days recording all the match statistics and provides information for 'Statto's Corner' on the match reports. He is pictured keeping an eye on one of his all-time favourite Hibs' players, poised to record Suki's latest booking!
