At the sixth time of asking the Hibs recorded their first league win of the season thanks to a terrific second-half performance.

In the first half both teams huffed and puffed without really troubling either goalie but going into the last minute the Bluebell's Jake Nicholson shot wide and then the ball was played to the other end to Murray Black whose cross was perfect for Darren Ormiston to smack the ball home from close range.

So instead of going a goal behind it was the Hibs who held the lead when the half-time whistle sounded.

If the opening 45 had been pretty eeksy-peeksy then there's no doubt that the second-half belonged to Craig Gilbert's side as they – just like their previous game against Westdyke – netted three times.

In the 57th minute Lewis Rodger's corner-kick eventually found Dan McBay who made it 2-0 then eight minutes later Black turned provider again to allow Ormiston to net his second goal of the night and the Hibs nr 10 came desperately close to completing his hat-trick when he moved onto Campbell Dowie's pass however on this occasion his attempt flashed wide of goal.

The scoring was completed in the 84th minute and it was another Rodger corner-kick that found Dowie and his pass was slotted home by Joe Kinninmonth.
