Thornton's disappointing start to the season continued with this home defeat to last season's First Division winners.

Darren Ormiston headed a Murray Black cross just wide then Cody Martin blocked a Keir Allan header on the line. At the other end Jason Gregory saw an effort strike the face of the crossbar then his team-mates, Craig Baillie and Ryan Cowie both came close to breaking the deadlock before the half-time whistle sounded.

It was the 76th minute when the visitors number nine, Ryan Cowie, netted the only goal allowing the visitors to take all three points back to Volunteer Park.
