Thornton Hibs travelled to New Countess Park with a much depleted squad. They began the game brightly enough though with Lewis Bennett heading a Murray Black cross wide of its intended target in the 3rd minute but the longer the game went the home side showed just why they are in top equal spot in the Premier Division with three straight wins.

Macaulay Jarrett made a fine save to prevent Mackenzie Lawler putting the home side ahead but he was powerless to stop Gregor Goldie from opening the scoring in the 14th minute. Another super save by Jarrett stopped Goldie from claiming his second goal in the 37th minute then just before half-time Bennett almost snatched an equaliser with a great header that just flashed wide.

At the other end a Lawler cross smacked off the crossbar in the 59th minute but it was just a matter of time 'til Dunbar doubled their advantage and when it finally came in the 71st minute it was a terrific strike from distance by Dan Hall that gave Jarret absolutely no chance.

Six minutes later Jason Craig made it three from the penalty spot after Jay Miller was brought down then five minutes from time Miller completed the scoring by knocking the ball over the line after Jarrett had saved well from Jason Craig.

That's three games the Hibs have played now without finding the net so if anyone has a spare Erling Haaland type that they're not using can they please contact the club asap!
