Following a goal-less first-half, Kelty - fielding a mixture of their senior and U20 squads - took the lead in the 73rd minute when Ross Philp's low shot from distance entered the net just inside the far away post. Thornton equalised eight minutes later through Stuart Drummond who followed up to net from close range after David Manderson parried Garry Thomson jnr's header into his path.
