Thornton finished their season in style with an emphatic win over Brechin Vics at Memorial Park.
Chris Ireland headed the opener in the 15th minute and that was the only goal in a first-half that had 'End of Season' stamped all over it.
The game sparked into life in the 67th minute when Garry Thomson smashed the ball home from close range; his 100th for the club since signing from Raith Rovers in 2009.
Another two goals for Thomson quickly followed before Dean McMillan scored the goal of the game when he went on 'a mazy', taking on and beating numerous Vics' players, before shooting past Gregor O'Neil.
The day belonged to Thomson, however, and he claimed his fourth goal of the game with seven minutes remaining.
This victory put the Hibs top equal with Kirrie and they only need the Angus team to lose 21-0 to Dundee North End on Wednesday night to claim the title!
