On a terrific playing surface, Thornton handed out a six-goal thrashing to go equal top in the North Division. Daniel McNab put the Hibs in front in the 4th minute and that set the trend for the day as Craig Gilbert's men played arguably their best stuff of the season.
Blairgowrie's day of woe could probably be summed up by the way Thornton doubled their lead in the 20th minute. The home side took a corner kick but less than ten seconds later Shaun Keatings had the ball in the net after the Hibs had broken at pace.
Three minutes later Nicky McGowan headed the third and by the 39th minute it was all over bar the shouting as Chris Ireland made it four.
Two minutes into the second-half, Garry Thomson snr headed the fifth and with fifteen minutes remaining, Keatings brilliant effort from wide on the right ended up in the net despite the best efforts of Blair 'keeper, Gordon O'Brien.
