The scoreline suggests an easy win for Thornton, but Lochore stuck to their task and two late goals took the sheen off this victory.

Chris Ireland's superbly taken free-kick gave the Hibs a 24th minute lead before Stuart Drummond headed a second a wee while later. Garry Thomson snr made it three just before half-time to essentially make it 'game-over'.

One minute into the second-half, Bryan Strachan scored a fourth and then Ewan Henderson, with his first touch of the ball, netted from close range to claim the fifth.

Fair play to Andy Healy's team who didn't give up the ghost with goals from Callum Eason and Chris Laird making the scoreline look a wee bit more respectable.
