Scott Lawrie had already seen a volley strike the upright before Scott Orrock headed the visitors in front from Derek Wallace's corner-kick.

Shortly after, Sean Grady's great strike struck the top of the crossbar but by the 18th minute it was 2-0 as Ben Anthony made space for himself before shooting low into the net.

Grady smacked home the third in the 75th minute before Gregg Meikle wrapped things up in the 87th minute, sixty seconds or so after he'd seen a 'goal' not given because he was offside.

So that's now 299 minutes since Thornton last scored, a worrying statistic for the Hibs' management.
