After their 'proper' games were postponed, Thornton and Hill o' Beath fixed up a bounce game at Dalgety Bay Sports Centre.
The Haws took the lead in the 20th minute when Lewis McKenzie slid in at the back post to convert Callum Adamson's low cross and they held on to this one goal advantage until the 49th minute when Lea Schiavone equalised with a fierce drive from the right that took a slight deflection off a Hill o' Beath defender on its way to the back of the net.
Andy Adam put the Hibs ahead in the 56th minute when he rose unchallenged to head home Jack Wilson's cross from the left and in the 74th minute, Schiavone completed the scoring with a terrific strike from fully 35 yards that dipped over the former Hibs' Player of the Year, Stuart Hall.
