The Hibs made their exit from the East of Scotland Cup at the first stage at a gloriously sunny Downfield Park.

Both teams had their moments in the first-half but it was still goal-less when David McKenzie sounded his half-time whistle.

Paul Marr's team scored the killer goal early in the second-half when Brian Clark came in like a tank at the back post to smash the ball beyond Mark Rowbotham.

The closest the Hibs came to scoring an equaliser came when substitute, Raymond Crichton, blasted the ball just over Mark Stewart's crossbar.
