The Hibs came flying out the blocks in this second round Scottish Junior Cup-tie and after Adam Dummond had come close to giving them a second minute lead, Andrew Adam had more joy shortly after with a volley from close range.
This had the effect of kick-starting the visitors into action and after they had claims for a penalty turned down, they equalised in the 17th minute through Philip-John Dolan.
In the second-half, Kilsyth had most of the possession but thanks to a terrific display of goalkeeping from Mark Rowbotham, the men from the West could only find the net another twice through Joe Barclay in the 62nd minute and Dolan right at the death.
