A second-half hat-trick from substitute Lee White went a long way to earning the Hibs three points for the second week on the trot.
The first-half was more even and Scone would’ve felt hard done by to be behind to a soft 20th minute Adam Drummond penalty-kick. Not only that, but they had a goal disallowed although it looked legitimate to most in Farquharson Park.
On the hour mark, White was introduced to the fray and within three minutes, he made his mark on the game with a sizzling low drive that flashed into the back of the net. By the 76th minute, White scored again, this time by following up to shoot home after Matt Curtis had made a great save to deny Kris Maxwell.
The goal of the game came in stoppage time. Another substitute, John Paul Burns (making his first appearance in just over one year after having his spleen removed) sent in a deep cross from the right. The ball was headed back across goal for White to complete his hat-trick.
