A flying save from Gavin Sorley denied Coco Mullen the opener, but he was powerless to prevent Lee White shooting low beyond him to give the Hibs a 17th minute lead.
Kinnoull fought back and a great finish from Adam O’Connor had the teams level by the 34th minute. Another quality finish, this time from David Thornton, saw Kinnoull take a half-time lead.
In the 56th minute, Sorley spilled John Halley’s cross and Garry Thomson was first to react to head the ball over the line from close range.
Two goals in a minute secured the three points for Craig Gilbert’s men. First, trialist full-back, Lewis Wishart, got on the end of Mark Mahkouli’s cross to put the Hibs in front in the 83rd minute and within sixty seconds, Thomson scored his second and arguably the best goal of the game when he met Keiran McGuire’s perfect cross to bullet home a header.
