In the mid 1960's Roy and Jan Tiernan opened the well known Thornton business, Decorland, and it continues to thrive almost sixty years later. Roy (83) passed away on the 26th January in Raith Manor Nursing Home. Because Decorland currently have their name on the front of the Hibs' away kit we arranged for a minute's silence to be observed before this afternoon's game and we wore the away kit at home for the first time. We were delighted when Roy's daughter, Mandy, and his Grand-Daughter, Laura, accepted our invitation to join our players and Newtongrange Star players on the pitch for the minute's silence along with the referee, Steven King. After the game the Hibs' players autographed the match ball and this will be handed over to Mandy & Laura.
